Help Livvi access life-changing surgery after years of pain
I’m fundraising for my friend Livvi, who has been living with a severe and debilitating medical condition since 2023.
Livvi is the founder of Bloody Amazing CIC, a social enterprise that supports young people through better period education. She has dedicated her time to helping others and now she needs help herself.
Livvi has been diagnosed with a rare paraurethral cyst. While often harmless, hers causes extreme and unpredictable symptoms. The cyst frequently becomes inflamed and infected, pressing on her urethra, making it difficult to pass urine, and causing intense, constant pain.
At its worst, it grows so large that she struggles to sit, sleep, or function day to day. When it becomes infected, it can rupture which brings brief relief before the cycle starts all over again.
This condition has taken over her life. She has struggled to work, maintain routines, or enjoy normal daily activities. In her own words, she feels like she is “surviving, not living.”
Since 2023, Livvi has been passed between specialists, facing delays, lost referrals, and long waiting lists. After more than two years, she has now been told that her current health board does not have the expertise to perform her operation. She has been told she could face another wait of up to two years for treatment as a result.

No one should have to live like this.
Although her condition is recognised, her case is complex and requires a specialist surgeon something that has been difficult to access through standard NHS pathways.
There is now an opportunity for private surgery that could finally end this cycle of pain and give Livvi her quality of life back. However, the cost is more than she can afford at around 3.5k.
We are raising funds to cover the cost of this surgery and associated care. (including Gofundme fees).
Every donation, no matter how small, will bring Livvi closer to living without constant pain.
We are still exploring NHS options and trying to persuade them to expedite the case. If treatment becomes available imminently through the NHS, all donations will be fully refunded. We will keep everyone updated throughout.
