We will launch a clinic in Beit Lahia, North Gaza to provide medical treatment to thousands of Palestinians returning back to their homes.

 New stretch target

The additional £10,000 will go directly towards the procurement of medication and treatment for the patients coming to the clinic from all over north Gaza.

After 16 months of genocide, thousands of Palestinians are returning back to their homes in north Gaza. With the total destruction of infrastructure by the Israeli Occupation Force (IOF), many Palestinians urgently need life saving treatment to continue their survival.

There are currently no functioning hospitals in north Gaza, with thousands of Palestinians with severe medical needs.

We are going to launch a small clinic in Beit Lahia, near to Gaza City, to urgently provide medical consultations and medication essential for sustaining life for the next 2 months.

Who Will Build the Medical Clinic?

The clinic will be established by Dr. Hussam Hamouda, a Palestinian surgeon born and raised in Gaza who worked at the Indonesian hospital and has been serving Palestinians and saving lives since the genocide began.

It was home to 100,000 Palestinians, who were ordered to evacuate by the IOF while the city was comprehensively destroyed.

Despite the destruction, Dr. Hamouda decided to return to Beit Lahia in February 2025 and hopes to establish this medical clinic to provide urgently needed advice and treatment to Palestinians in north Gaza.

How Will the Clinic Work?

As things stand, there is no running water, no electricity and no safe shelter. Nonetheless, thousands of Palestinians have returned to north Gaza, determined to survive.

1739480286_screenshot_2025-02-11_174139.pngDr. Hamouda will establish a clinic by securing a safe structure in Beit Lahia and renovating it to include spaces for consultations, equipping rooms with medical equipment, access to clean water and energy and install fixtures and fittings to use the building structure as a medical clinic.

The clinic will be staffed on all days of the week and will be open from 8am - 3pm, allowing Palestinians to attend the clinic and receive diagnosis and treatment. For Palestinians unable to travel, the clinic will be used as a base for medical care to be delivered to those in need.

At the clinic, Palestinians will be provided with free medical consultations by Dr. Hamouda who will advise on what treatments patients need. Minor wounds will be treated at the clinic and where diagnoses are made for complicated and serious wounds and illnesses, referrals will be made for appropriate care.

When specific medications are required, staff at the clinic will procure and dispense items to patients. While some medications may be attainable at no cost through the limited aid that is coming in to Gaza, other items will need to be specifically ordered with associated costs, which will be paid for through your donations.

Budget

We're asking for £20,000 which will allow the clinic to be immediately launched and cover the costs of providing free medical care to Palestinians for 2 months, with an expectation of serving approximately 200 Palestinians a day. As an estimate, the following costs are anticipated within this time:

Building Structure (inc renovation, fixtures and fittings): £5000
Medical Equipment (inc patient beds, vital sign monitors, intravenous drips): £3000
Staff Costs x 4 (1 doctor, 2 medically trained nurses, 1 logistician) : £5000
Water +Energy: £2000
Fund for Individual Patient Medication & Treatment Costs: £5000

We're reaching out to request your donation to get the project started. If we can make this initial target, the clinic will be immediately established and sustainable sources of funding will be sought for the work to continue.

Please donate generously and help Palestinians in Beit Lahia get the treatment they need and build hope in their future.
