Help keep our Scouting family together

Our Scout group has always been about giving young people a place to belong, learn skills for life and enjoy adventures and opportunities they might otherwise miss out on.

For years, our home was St Thomas Church. As a church-sponsored group, we were able to meet without paying rent. In return, we gave back to the church community and proudly represented them with a badge on our uniform.

When the church closed, we lost our home. We have since been warmly welcomed and lovingly rehomed at the Strand Hub, and we are so grateful to have somewhere our Scouting family can continue to meet.

However, this move has brought a new expense: rent.

As a community Scout group, we work hard to keep subscriptions and uniform costs as low as possible so that Scouting remains affordable for all. We know how much pressure families are under, and we want every young person to have the chance to take part.

Our Scouting family supports young people aged four through to 18 and beyond, helping them build confidence, make friendships, discover new interests and develop skills they will carry throughout their lives.

We have started this fundraiser to help cover our rent so we can continue meeting, while keeping costs affordable for our families.

Every donation, however small, will help give our group a place to call home. If you cannot donate, sharing our appeal would mean so much to us.
