Help our little Jiminy fight to save his sight ❤️ Both eyes are seriously affected. Every share or donation means the world 🐴❤️
Our gorgeous little Jiminy is currently in horse hospital receiving intensive treatment to try to save his sight.
Jiminy is our girls’ much-loved little pony. He is the sweetest, cheekiest spotty boy and such a huge part of our family. He should be at home being fussed over by Betsy and Mabel — but instead, he has become very poorly with severe corneal ulcers affecting both of his eyes.
He is currently receiving intensive ophthalmic treatment in hospital, including medication delivered directly to his eyes through subpalpebral lavage systems (SLS).

Unfortunately, despite everything being done for him, his journey isn’t over yet. He is likely to need further treatment and debridement surgery next week, and we have been warned that there is still a possibility that he could lose an eye.
Jiminy is insured. We took out veterinary insurance precisely because we wanted to know we could look after him if something went wrong, and we are incredibly grateful that his policy has covered the first £3,500 of his treatment.
However, because this has happened to both eyes and has required such intensive hospital care, we have already reached the maximum veterinary cover available under his policy in a very short space of time.
His treatment now needs to continue beyond that limit.
We will continue doing everything we possibly can for Jim ourselves. Giving him the best possible chance of keeping his sight and coming home to his girls is our priority.
A few people have very kindly asked whether there is a way they can help, which is why — after a lot of hesitation — we have created this page.
Anything raised will go directly towards Jiminy’s ongoing hospitalisation, ophthalmic treatment, procedures and surgery, and his subsequent veterinary care.
If we are fortunate enough to raise more than is ultimately needed for Jiminy’s care, or if despite everyone’s best efforts his treatment isn’t successful, any funds remaining after his veterinary costs have been settled will be donated to an equine charity, so that the kindness shown to Jim can go on to help another horse or pony in need.
There is absolutely no expectation for anyone to donate. We know how difficult things are for so many people. Sharing Jim’s story, sending him some love, or simply keeping everything crossed for those beautiful little eyes means just as much to us.
We just want our little spotty boy home. ❤️
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for caring about him.
