Dear friends and supporters,

I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt request for your assistance in realizing my passion project. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Film by Practice at the University for the Creative Arts, UK, focusing on the post-civil war Lebanese film industry. Specifically, I am exploring the thematic connections between the industry and the civil war, as well as its financial ties to foreign countries. The program is three years long and will require me to produce a feature film using the knowledge and insights I will have gained through my research.

However, I am at a critical juncture as I am unable to secure funding for my second year. As a Lebanese national, I am disqualified from most scholarships and ineligible for loans. Moreover, my visa restricts me to non-freelance, part-time employment. Regrettably, this limited income fails to cover even my basic expenses, and I am unable to afford tuition and rent. With the impending tuition deadline rapidly approaching, I am in a race against time to secure the funds.

I am launching a crowdfunding campaign to raise the funds I need to continue my studies. My goal is to raise £17,500 exclusively for my tuition fees, enabling me to continue my second year of PhD studies.

Your support is not merely an investment in my academic path; it's an investment in the power of storytelling, critical examination, and the betterment of the Lebanese film industry. To bring my research to life, I am embarking on an ambitious film project—a mockumentary that delves into the making of a film about the civil war. This meta-film will shed light on the many shortcomings of the Lebanese film industry through satire, comedy and an engaging story.

I am committed to making a meaningful impact with my research and creative work. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference and enable me to pursue my academic goals while shedding light on the flaws within the Lebanese film industry. In gratitude for your generosity, every contributor will receive a credit in the feature film and be among the first to watch it. If you are unable to contribute, sharing this campaign with your network will also be immensely valuable.

Thank you for your support.

GET THIS PERSON IN FRONT OF MY CAMERA!!!

You earned it, I will write you a role in my film! You're an actor now, can I please have your autograph? - Why settle for being a hero when you can embrace being heroes (plural)? As an actor, each film can transform you into a hero (occasionally even more, depending on how weird the film is). So let me kickstart your career and give you the potential to be countless heroes all at once!! NOTE: Only if you're in Lebanon at the time lol

£5,000 or more

You must be a producer, come on in!

I know you producers like the communication to be straight to the point, so I'll keep it simple: - Associate producer credit in the film - Profit share (to be discussed depending on the overall budget of the film. This will be considered development funds)
