About Intact

Intact is a community charity based in Ingol, Preston, supporting local people since 1993. We provide a welcoming space where people of all ages can access advice, volunteering opportunities, wellbeing activities, community support, training, and social connections. Our mission is to help people feel valued, included, and empowered to live healthy and fulfilling lives.

Why We Need Your Help

Located outside the Intact Centre is a publicly accessible defibrillator that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This vital piece of equipment has the potential to save lives when someone experiences a sudden cardiac arrest.

Unfortunately, our current defibrillator is reaching the end of its operational life and now needs replacing. We want to ensure that local residents, visitors, staff, volunteers, and anyone in the surrounding area continue to have access to this lifesaving equipment whenever it is needed.

Our Vision

Our vision is simple: to keep a fully functioning, publicly accessible defibrillator available at Intact for years to come. Every minute without treatment during a cardiac arrest reduces the chance of survival, making quick access to a defibrillator absolutely crucial.

By replacing our ageing unit, we can continue providing an important community asset that could make the difference between life and death.

How Your Donation Will Help

Funds raised will be used to:

• Purchase a new community defibrillator
• Install and register the device
• Provide replacement pads and batteries
• Maintain the equipment to ensure it remains rescue-ready

Any additional funds raised will help support the ongoing maintenance of the device and other community wellbeing initiatives at Intact.
