Aim

To increase community cricket participation by improving access to coaching, facilities and equipment for juniors and women.

Who are we?

Newbuildings Cricket Club is a volunteer-led, community sports club based in Newbuildings, serving children, young people, women and families from the local area and beyond.

We provide a safe, welcoming environment where people of all ages and backgrounds can take part in organised sport, stay active, and build positive social connections. Demand for cricket in the area is growing, particularly among juniors and women and girls, and the club is committed to making participation accessible and affordable for everyone.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are crowdfunding to raise £5,000, which will be matched by Sport NI, creating a £10,000 community participation project.

The funding will help us remove cost and access barriers by improving training facilities, purchasing essential equipment, and delivering structured coaching programmes for new and existing participants. This project aligns with Sport NI’s focus on increasing participation, inclusion, and long-term sustainability in grassroots sport.
