We need to raise £1,000 to help get Rosie Rawle, Lucy Pegg and Chris Jarvis elected in Oxford's 2021 local elections!
In the Green Party no matter how hard we work, no matter how many times we’re proven right, the cards are stacked against us. Our rigged electoral system means Greens have to fight even harder to make the change we want to see. We don’t have the money or the resources of the bigger Parties.
That’s why we need you.
In May 2021 we will be fighting elections to both Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford City council. That’s twice as many as in any normal year.
Rosie and Lucy are standing in Donnington ward - an area we've previously had Green councillors. But Labour have campaigned hard here and won these seats back. The last time this area was contested, the Greens lost by just 100 votes.
Chris is standing in St Mary's ward for the City Council and in the Iffley Fields and St Mary's County Council division. In the City Council race he's up against the notorious Labour right-winger Luke Akehurst, and the last time the County division was fought, the Greens lost it by less than 80 votes.
All three of these seats are winnable. But to get there we need your support more than ever.
With Covid restrictions having been in place for most of the campaign period, we're even more reliant on delivering printed leaflets in the last few weeks of the campaign than ever before.
£1,000 would pay for an extra two leaflets across the wards we're standing in.
