We want to raise some funds to help Joseph and Louis get to Gibraltar after they have qualified for the junior world championships
Blackburn Youth Darts Academy along with Darts Plus, provides opportunities and support to Youth Darts players aged 6 to 18yrs.
2 of our students 14 Yr old Joseph Westby and 15 year old Louis Jones have both recently secured their Advanced tour card through the JDC Q School. As part of this they have also both qualified to compete in the 2024 Junior World Championships which takes place later in the year in Gibraltar.
This is going to be an expensive trip for them but an opportunity they can't turn down and a chance for one of them out of all competitors to become junior world Champion.
for this they are going to need to fund a weeks accommodation for themselves and their parents as well as flight costs and entey fees not to mention money for food and essentials.
So as you can imagine it's expensive, but a well worth journey for these 2 talented players who have worked hard to qualify.
so we want to help them on their journey and celebrate this wonderful achievement and success story. It would be great of we could try raise some of the money towards flights and accommodation of each child.
Blackburn Youth Darts Academy are a non profit organisation solely ran by volunteers and are working hard to raise funds for these 2 lads but also our other 60 students.
but, if you can help by donating just a small amount to help them as they really do deserve this we would be very grateful.
It will help cover some of the cost of the flights and accommodation to able them to compete in this world championships
It will have a huge impact on Youth Darts in general and help promote the sport and the opportunities Youth darters now have
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
Please donate anything you can and share amongst your friends and contacts. Let's get these lads to that world championships
