Aim

Help to elect Gabriela Ferguson as a Liberal Democrat MS for the Pen-y-bont Bro Morgannwg in the May 2026 Senedd Elections.

Hi, I’m Gabriela Ferguson.

I’m standing in the Senedd Elections because I want to fight for the community I’ve proudly called home for over 23 years. Pen-y-bont Bro Morgannwg (Bridgend and the Vale of Glamorgan ) is a beautiful part of Wales, with a strong sense of community and huge potential. But for too long, our area hasn’t had the representation it truly deserves.

Families here are under real pressure. NHS waiting lists are too long. Household bills and childcare costs are rising. Young people are finding it harder to secure well-paid local jobs or afford a home in the community they grew up in. Small businesses need stronger support to thrive. And our coastline, one of our greatest treasures, must be protected for future generations.

This is personal for me. I raised my two children here and as a mum, I understand the everyday pressures families face. In my everyday job as a maths teacher, I see the potential in our young people every day and I know how much better we must do to support them.

Strong schools, a functioning NHS, good local jobs and a protected environment aren’t abstract political ideas. They shape the future of our children and the wellbeing of our families.

Alongside my work in education, I’ve been a grassroots community leader and activist, listening to residents, organising locally and working to solve problems. This is the kind of representative I want to be in the Senedd: visible, approachable and determined to deliver.

I’m also deeply concerned about the rise of populism across Wales (and the UK) and electing a strong team of Welsh Liberal Democrats to the Senedd this May is going to be crucial in fighting the twin evils of hard-right populism (Reform UK) and Welsh nationalism (Plaid Cymru). Our community deserves serious leadership and practical solutions, which I believe our team can deliver.

I am ambitious for Wales, ambitious for a country that backs its families, supports its businesses, protects its natural environment and creates opportunity for everyone.

This election is about hope over fear, solutions over noise and unity over division.

So, what am I raising money for?

Over the coming weeks, we need to raise £5,000 to run a campaign that can truly compete and win.

That means reaching voters across Pen-y-bont Bro Morgannwg through targeted mail, digital advertising and on-the-ground campaigning. We know our message resonates, because the conversations on the doorstep have been encouraging and energising. But in modern elections, passion alone isn’t enough. We need the resources to make sure every household hears our positive vision for the future.

Your donation will help us:

  • Deliver campaign materials directly to local homes
  • Reach undecided voters through social media and digital platforms
  • Fund leaflets and community outreach across Bridgend and the Vale of Glamorgan
  • Build the momentum we need to win in May

Every contribution, large or small, makes a real difference. This campaign is powered by people who care about our community and want to see practical, positive change.

With your generous support, we can win in May, and in doing so, send a message that our area rejects the politics of grievance and blame, by electing me as the Liberal Democrat MS for Pen-y-bont Bro Morgannwg. Together, we can win.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Diolch yn fawr iawn,

Mulțumesc foarte mult,

Gabriela Ferguson
