This is to continually support Shireen in providing for her family in Gaza after being forcefully displaced into homelessness and bankruptcy
Hi there,
My name is Demi. Thank you very much for your interest in my campaign 🌻
I'm a disabled, unemployed, lone parent of 2 however this doesn't stop me from standing by my beloved friend Shireen.
My finances don't allow me to help them survive the dire conditions they were recently forced into without your help.
CURRENT STATE
Shireen is a wonderful mom of 6.
With her husband they were all displaced in a worn out tent when their house was bombed, along with all their belongings.
They are surviving this absolute nightmare bestowed upon them, with no essentials in place yet.
NO OFFICIAL AID
Humanitarian aid, infrastructure, job opportunities and government support/social security is currently non existent in Gaza.
HEALTH ISSUES
Lack of treatment for their health conditions makes daily life additionally painful and full of worry.
Shireen suffers from varicose veins and kidney stones. The cost of her treatment is $300 per week.
Her elder son suffers from tinea on his face due to a weakened immune system and needs treatment too. This sums up to $100 per week.
EDUCATION
Their elder daughters are in university but can't attend due to lack of funds to pay their enrollment fees, summing up to $1600 per semester.
Their wee boy can't go to school for the same reason.
SHORT TERM NEEDS
They need school supplies which sum up to $500, and a mobile phone for their son to attend online, costing $1000 in Gaza these days.
Their short term needs also include food, drink, clothes.
They have no tent essentials yet, trying to cook food for her 8-member family on a tiny wood fire is almost impossible for Shireen, as it would be for anyone.
They need a gas stove which costs $100.
It would be wise to buy a new tent and pallets to raise their mattresses from the ground before Autumn 2026 storms strike 🙏🏼
This comes up to $400, including insurance, delivery and setup.
LONG TERM NEEDS
Long term they aspire to find shelter in a house so need a full month's rent to begin with.
As you understand this family is beyond demoralised, and in extreme need to survive in dignity in their tent until things improve for them.
