Aim
The aim of my project is to support Amr and his family to survive and rebuild their life in Gaza
Hello there,
Welcome to my fundraiser and thanks very much for your kind interest in supporting Amr to provide for his family.
My name is Demi and I'm a disabled lone parent, raising my 2 kids solely on disability benefits until ready to return back to the workforce.
As a result I cannot support my pal Amr and his family in surviving and rebuilding their life in Gaza without your help.
His family is comprised by his 3 young adult siblings, their health-burdened parents and grandmother, and their 6 children.
Amr is the only breadwinner reaching out for all the help available for them to keep on keeping, strong as can be.
He is also one of the wonderful volunteers working at the first Stray Cat Rescue Center operating to safely host and document the stray cats and kittens in danger in Gaza (@gazacat1 on Instagram).
They used to own their house and run their family shop. Now it's all demolished and they live in a worn out tent, exposed to the elements.
As you may infer, their needs are immense.
Regular tent maintenance, tent replacement (apx £400) seasonal equipment, food, medication/treatment (£100 per week when unavailable in local clinics/through their public health insurance) and education fees to list some of them.
Continued education for the kids and students in the family comes up to £750 per month.
They need a new mattress to replace the one destroyed during the storms...and the list goes on.
Your solidarity reminds them they are not alone, and their human needs matter equally - as per their undeniable Human Rights 💞
