Hello and welcome to my campaign to continue supporting Ahmed's family and help them navigate life after the 2-year genocide they survived
Hello, my name is Demi and I am a lone disabled parent of my 2 children living in Scotland.
Ahmed kindly reached out to me requesting mutual aid through what seemed an endless nightmare of genocidal rampage upon his people in Gaza.
A day later, ceasefire was announced! Great joy stormed our hearts.
However, the day after, Ahmed's multistorey house in the north was bombed to the ground.
This house was the home of his whole family of 26.
The place where their dreams were born. Where their childhood sweetly passed by and was succeeded by their adolescence and early adulthood.
Previously a successful mobile phone shop owner, now Ahmed is also devastated by the destruction of his livelihood.
However, he remains continually responsible of supporting his family through genocide.
Both of Ahmed's parents are suffering long term health conditions that need to be treated abroad;
his mother is battling Leukemia and his father has multiple chronic health conditions as well as a foot war injury.
His sister is 7-8 months pregnant and needs nutritional supplements.
With his diseased parents, adult siblings and their children (ranging from 2yo to 17yo), they all live under 1 tent and have 0 income due to the absolute devastation of their whole region.
They have no access to a community kitchen or foodbank in their area of displacement.
His kind spirit wishes to open his own foodpoint too, and help other people out as well.
Until recently they were supported financially by his elder brothers but they also lost their livelihoods.
They have all agreed to run this campaign together in order to secure their family's survival and future thriving to their best potential.
Can you please help me to continually help and support this beautiful family of 26?
Together, they have to overcome unbelievable psychological trauma and famine while battling the skyrocketing prices in the market, created and benefited from the military occupation enforcers!
Ahmed wishes to continually have the ability to provide for his family.
Their next priority is to acquire a tent and food.
When the full amounts are in place, 7 of them (mix of 3 adult siblings total, 3 children and his parents) will go through the Rafah crossing for his parents to receive the long overdue expert medical help they need.
They are intelligent people with big fat hearts.
Please let this be a reminder to all of us, that:
Just because you carry it well, doesn't mean that it's not heavy.
And lastly, that not all heroes wear capes; some wear the essence of survival, perseverance, patience and sheer willpower to live and thrive despite all odds.
At that stage, your solidarity is their lifeline.
Please donate as generously as possible. No matter how small or big, all donations are most welcome and appreciated!
Please dont forget to share their link far and wide so more people become aware of this beautiful family's difficulties and available route to help them overcome it all too!
I am at your availability through the Contact Us link below.
Please feel free to get in touch with any and all questions and/or messages of support for Ahmed and his relatives.
I will be providing receipts and forwarding the family's gratitude with frequent updates so please watch this space.
Thank you for reading through and all your kind consideration.
Please stay safe and take it easy.
Warm wishes,
Demi, Ahmed and families
