I need help take over 200 pallets of medical supplies, worth over £300,000, to support Yazidi survivors/victims of ISIS enslavement/attacks.
My name is Fiona Bennett,a mum of 2 and founder of the 'Mission for Medicine' campaign. I started and managed the campaign after I heard about the dire medical situation in Sinjar-Iraq where ten thousands of survivors and victims of ISIS are based. Read the full story here!
After 6 months working on this campaign, and with thanks to NHS Scotland and many public and private clinics in the UK, as well as many individuals and supporters, 8 containers( over 200 pallets) of medical supplies are on the way to Sinjar to support over 90,000 Yazidi people who have returned to their homeland after nearly 4 years since the ISIS genocidal attacks on 2014. These supplies worth over £300,000!
T. Ward Shipping Company shipped these medical supplies from Felixstowe in Suffolk(UK) to Um-Qaser port(Iraq) and the shipment is due to arrive on 29th of June. With help of many generous individuals we have raised £12,000 to pay for the shipment cost from the UK to Iraq.
Now, I need your help to hire 8 lorries to take these supplies from Um Qasar port to Sinjar, which is around 1100km. We need £20k-25k for the clearance, cost of transportation for 8 lorries, paper works..etc.
These Medical supplies will be distributed freely over Sinjar and Snoni Hospitals and local health centres in Sinjar city as well as Yazda Mobile Medical Clinic to improve the destroyed healthcare system in the region.
