The extra funds would allow us the opportunity to add a path to improve accessibilit...
This summer, FC Cwmaman are looking to generate funds to carry out urgent refurbishment and upgrade works at our home, the Canolfan.
FC Cwmaman has been at the heart of its local community since its inception in 1965. During that time, the club has seen a huge expansion from one senior team, playing from the local pub ("The Ivy Bush"), to today running 6 junior and 3 senior teams across multiple age ranges.
FC Cwmaman is an integral part of life to over 200 players, coaches and volunteers associated with the club. The club has always prided itself on being able to offer opportunities to children and adults alike, focusing on the ethos of ‘togetherness’ and “hard work” for the betterment of the community. In recognition of such, the club’s crest bears the inscription, “Egni a Lwydd”, which translates as “Effort will succeed”.

The village of Cwmaman is a former mining village, which like many of its kind, has seen much hardship and deprivation over the years due to the loss of industry in the area. Despite these challenges, FC Cwmaman has worked extremely hard to provide a haven for local children and adults alike, offering them a place to train, play and socialise, with many friendships now being decades old.
FC Cwmaman is a club that prides itself on bringing the community together and at the heart of this is our home, the Canolfan. Please support us in ensuring its survival for generations to come.

Back in 2000, with the help and support of local volunteers and businesses, FC Cwmaman proudly built the clubs first ever stand and dugouts at the Canolfan. This was an extremely proud moment for the club and a huge milestone in our history.
Unfortunately, in the 22 years that have since past, our stand and dugouts now sit in an almost unusable state and require urgent refurbishment. In recent years, the Canolfan has been the target of many occurrences of anti-social behaviour, with our stand, dugouts and changing rooms being the main targets.
The roof flashing has been ripped off the stand and dugouts, concrete blocks have been smashed through and fires lit inside our stand. Unfortunately, due to damage to the stands shutters, it means the stand can no longer be secured. With the majority of our teams at the club being children and youth, we no longer feel that our home, the Canolfan, is a safe place for us to offer the opportunities that we have been so proud to over many years.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP...
This summer, in order to be able to continue our role within the community, our priority will be to carry out urgent refurbishment works of our stand and dugouts. This will include seating being purchased for the stand, along with new shutters to secure the facility. By achieving this, we can be confident in telling all associated with the club that the Canolfan is a safe place to be for many years to come.
To this end, the club wish to secure the playing field and facilities with a new perimeter fence that will aim to prevent the anti-social behaviour we have witnessed in recent years. The cost of such is significant and we will be unable to achieve this without your support. As a bonus, such refurbishment and upgrades will also ensure the club are able achieve 'Tier 3' criteria needed to support any future promotions for the Senior team, a valuable bonus given the clubs ambition to move forward.
With your support, we hope this project will ultimately allow us to safeguard the club’s future for the whole of the community. This is our major priority!
All those associated with FC Cwmaman are desperate to put the time and effort into achieving this goal. However, whether we will be able to achieve this will be dependent on the support we receive.
This project is for much, much more than a football club. This project is to ensure that the future generations of this community have a home in which they can aspire to be the best version of themselves that they can be. For this to happen, with your support, we can offer our future generations the structure and an environment that will go a long way into helping them achieve this!

There are three simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
