Aim

Wool for Ewe is closing but Faye has the passion and ambition to bring you a new wool shop, she just needs your help. Same service new name!

• Who am i?

Hi I'm Faye, I have been working with my mother at Wool for Ewe, for 17 years, sadly this is no longer an option as we have lost our premises and have been let down by our insurers, thus Wool for Ewe is no more after almost 20 years. What has made this more difficult to accept is that this was no fault of our own, yet we have lost a business that both ourselves and the crafters of the North East love.

You all know me, I'm not going to go quietly, I love my job, I love knitting, I love being part of the creative community in Aberdeen city and shire, and I will try anything to keep doing the job I love and quite frankly that I'm really good at.

What do I want?

I want to open a new and creative space for knitters and crocheters to be able to shop, chat and craft in a bespoke environment that will hero all things yarn!

I don't as of yet have a name, lets just call it 'Faye's Fantastical Wool Emporium' or even 'Wool for Ewe Too' but this will be a new business and not Wool for Ewe v2.0. Either way, I want to continue providing Aberdeen city and shire with an excellent wool shop which means:

- Offering affordable yarns, luxury brands and local yarns

- Provide an inclusive space for crafters to meet

- Offering workshops for all to learn and improve their skills

How will your donations be used:

With your donation, this will allow me to secure a new premises that it is accessible, serviced by public transport and has parking adjacent. I will then need to fit out, stock it and open it. 

It seems simple enough.... right? You all know I don't shy away from hard work and I cant wait to share the progress of this new place when I get back up and running. 

I know this is a huge ask, but over the last few weeks I've been reminded that i have an amazing community around me in the North East and together we can build something really special. And I promise you this, every single person that donates will not be forgotten, not now, not even in another 20 years.
