We're raising funds to help get Rob elected in the Cliftonville KCC by-election on 9th April.
A by-election is being held to elect a new Kent County Councillor for the Cliftonville Division. The poll was sparked after the former councillor Daniel Taylor, who was elected for Reform UK, was jailed for 12 months for coercive behaviour towards his wife.
Following Hannah Spencer’s recent win in Gorton and Denton, we are confident that the people of Cliftonville will chose hope over division and elect a Green Councillor who will work hard and get results.
Our candidate, Rob Yates, is a Cliftonville resident and a TDC Councillor with 7 years' experience. He will campaign on the issues local people have highlighted to us, including creating safer roads, protecting green spaces from over development, pushing for a common-sense debt write off at KCC prior to local government reorganisation and celebrating Thanet’s strong community.
Rob said “This is an historic moment. The Green Party is polling second nationally, and this election is going to be neck and neck between Reform and the Greens. Nationally, and from what we hear locally too, the Conservative and Labour votes have collapsed.
If you want to stop Reform winning Cliftonville, one way to help is by donating to this crowdfunder. Every penny will be appreciated and well used to help turn Cliftonville Green and make history on 9th April.”
Please support us and help get Rob elected.
