I'm Pauline Stafford, a councillor in the new constituency of Bathgate. I was honoured by SNP members to be nominated as their chosen candidate - now the work begins to win this essential seat.
💛 Why I'm standing!
I returned to Scotland to raise my children in my hometown of Bathgate. There are so many opportunities for our young people here from free tuition to subsidised travel. I want to protect these vital resources to ensure our children have the bright, bold future they deserve.
Although our parliamentary group have done such fantastic work, we are limited by devolution. We know that the strongest voice for Scottish independence is the SNP and I'm determined to be at the front of this battle - with Brexit forcefully removing Scotland from the EU, we deserve better and independence is our opportunity for a shining future.
