We need your help on the Green Party’s path to electing it’s first Manchester Green MP and help us hit the key milestones leading up to it!

Help us on our path to parliament and put forward a green and hopeful future

2024 saw the best ever results for the Green Party at a general election, winning 4 seats and 7% of the vote share. This was only possible as a result of solid and positive campaigning not just in 2024, but over many years leading up to it.

The Manchester Green Party sees a similar opportunity to add another Green MP to parliament. In the last general election, Manchester Greens came 2nd to Labour in 3 different constituencies. 

We know this isn’t the time to relax. These seats won’t just come up without a dedicated presence from volunteers, community organisers, and newly elected councillors. This is your chance to be a part of this campaign!

The money in this Crowdfunder will be used to purchase leaflets, electoral deposits, and campaigning materials so that the Manchester Greens can have a constant presence in the next 3 years, as well as make sure we can push even harder during the several local elections beforehand.

Why Rusholme?

Rusholme presents an exciting opportunity. The Green Party came second within the constituency in 2024 and we know we are the only credible opposition to Labour.

It is also the district where Labour has the lowest majority by number of votes (only 7,500 above us!)

An Unprecedented Trajectory

To prove that the Green party is the party of choice for those wanting a brighter alternative to Labour's offering, we need your help to turn the 6 wards of Rusholme green!

Aiming to win over 6 wards and win an MP within 4 years is a faster trajectory than the Green Party has previously accomplished, but we know it is possible!

We must start this work early, and make sure we have the time, people, and money to deliver on this ambition.

Why we need your help

Local election campaigns are expensive, often costing thousands of pounds.

We need your help to make sure that we can run effective and consistent campaigns up until the next general election.

With your help, we can raise the money needed to run a campaign that not only gets Green councillors elected in the next 3 years, but culminates in new, green voices entering parliament.

This crowdfunder is adding to our existing campaign pot. Any donations will be used to support the Green Party's future election campaigns in Manchester.

Because we're a political party, we're required to run electoral register checks from people making donations above £500. If you donate over £1,500 during a year, we are required to let the Electoral Commission know, who will make this available on their website. All donations go to general campaigning funds.
