We are into the last few weeks of the council election campaign here in Edinburgh. It is the biggest-ever Green campaign in the capital. Our candidates and local teams have been doing amazing things, talking to voters and getting our message out: a greener future for our great city, with action on housing, social care, transport and protection of our priceless green spaces.
It looks like being a very tight race where only a few votes might stand between us getting a Green councillor in a ward or not. That is why we need to gather every Green #1 vote we can. And that is where you can help make the crucial difference!
Over the next 2 weeks tens of thousands of voters will be getting postal ballots issued. We want them to get a letter from their Green candidate just before they open their postal ballot, encouraging them to vote Green #1.
This a highly effective and very targeted strategy. But it does not come cheap. To reach the number of postal voters we want to reach will cost over £6,000. We have raised some of that money but we urgently need to raise it all now. Which is why we are asking for your help to hit our initial target of £2,000 towards postal vote letters.
Please help make this difference. If you can afford £5 please donate £5. If you can manage £100 or £200, that is fantastic too. Or anything in between!
If you are not in a position to donate, there are loads of other ways you can get involved, from putting up a window poster, to helping one of our local teams, to assisting with central support tasks. Contact
