Pay it Forward! Help Delaneys survive the crisis

The global COVID-19 pandemic has created a very uncertain landscape for  millions of British small businesses, which is going to make it very challenging for businesses to survive. Together we can help them.

Crowdfunder are offering up their platform to allow all UK small businesses to pre-sell their meals, events, hotel bookings etc. for cash now on a promise to redeem these at a later date.

Dear Friends

Just as we were looking at entering our 14th year here at Delaneys and welcoming more of our lovely customers through the door for another year, Covid-19 struck and sadly on the 23rd of March we were forced to close our doors, until further notice. This was very emotional and somewhat scary day.

About Delaneys

In April 2006, we opened our doors to Delaneys Café / Sandwich Bar for the very first time, offering good food and great customer service. My eldest daughter had turned 1 and my Son was just 2 weeks old. With Lots of hard work sleepless nights and fun, and at times calling on all the family to muck in and help. 14 Years on we have had the pleasure of being part of our local community and making many lovely friends along the way.

We have had our fare share of challenges but I am happy to say that we have stood the test of time, when so many other small businesses have come and gone over the years. 

We understand the importance of having that special destination, where you come and choose your favourite things for lunch, stop for a delicious slice of our homemade cake, take a break and enjoy one of our many amazing coffees, and even get your hands on one of our famous Sausage rolls. 

We need your help
So we asking for your help, to ensure our lovely staff can come back to work and we can wake Delaneys up from temporary hibernation.

Our Goal is to return as soon as possible with the offer of Take Away and Delivery, until we are able to open the doors once more. So we are calling upon you our lovely friends, customers supporters and community. By paying it forward you will be giving our business a cash boost at a much needed time. 

We need you to buy gift vouchers that can be used  for a later date on coffees, Breakfast, lunches, cake orders, outside catering events, and so on. Or now during the lockdown you can pay it forward and order coffee or lunches for an elderly or vulnerable relative friend or neighbour whilst in isolation. Or if you feel that you would like to support us through this difficult time, simply by making a donation, we would be extremely grateful and thankful for your support. Like most businesses our insurance didn’t cover us for not only loss of earnings but having to replace all perishable stock. This will provide us with funds essential to keep going until we return to some kind of normality.

If we can raise half of our target, the Solent LEP have agreed to match fund this for us if we are lucky enough to reach our target, which would be a massive help to kick start the business.
