Support Deaf Palestinians Surviving the Winter in Gaza
Support Deaf Palestinians Surviving the Winter in Gaza
Hello, my name is Paula Garfield. I am Jewish and living in London, and I am reaching out with deep concern and hope. I am raising funds to support deaf Palestinians who are trapped inside Gaza and struggling to survive this winter.
Even with announcements of ceasefire, bombings and violence continue daily. Food and medical supplies remain extremely limited. Many people are dying from hunger, cold, untreated injuries, and a lack of clean water. Among them are more than 15,000 displaced deaf Palestinians, whose needs are often invisible and overlooked.
Over the past two years, I have come to know a group of extraordinary young deaf people in Gaza: Nour, Fayza, Roba, Nesma, Tahani, Hamod, Mohmoud, and Mahmoud. I also follow two incredible deaf journalists, Mahmoud and Basem, who continue reporting in sign language so that deaf people around the world can understand what is happening.
These young people dream of peace. They want to return to their studies, to work, and to rebuild their lives. But right now, they have lost everything—their homes, their sense of safety, their stability. Yet they continue to hope for a normal life again.
With your donations, I will divide the funds equally among ten deaf young people to help them purchase:
My goal is to raise as much as possible. Once completed, I will provide a full breakdown of the total raised and the amount donated to each individual and their family.
I will share information to you:
✔ The total amount raised
✔ How much each person and their family receives
✔ Proof of distribution (if appropriate and safe)
Transparency is extremely important to me, and I want every donor to feel confident about where their kindness is going.
To express my gratitude, the highest donor will receive a unique handmade mosaic artwork created by deaf artist Samuel Razlli, symbolizing an eye shedding a tear for Palestine - a symbol of pain, hope and resistance.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a real and immediate difference to their survival.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, generosity and solidarity.
Together, we can bring hope to people who desperately need it.
🙏 Please donate and share widely.
🇵🇸 Free Palestine.
