Help Create Space4Bees CIC

Aim

To Create an outside education centre for beekeping for those that suffer from mental health and or a disability.

Space4bees is an up and coming CIC, we need help to create we are aiming to raise funds to create an outdoor education centre for sufferers of mental health and or people living with a disability.

About us:

We are a family of beekeepers that started our journey as a way to support my partner with her mental wellbeing, as she suffers from a mental health disorder.

We found that beekeeping was an incredibly rewarding way for her to escape and be at peace with nature and discovered that it really helped her to cope with the difficulties she faces.

Our epiphany:

LET’S SCALE THIS UP! If we can do this to help us why can't we do it to help others that struggle?

Many sufferers can sometimes feel let down by the system or in other cases may just be too embarrassed to approach a professional for help, this is where we come in. We could share our experience with others, where everybody is welcome without judgement to come and visit and learn all aspects of beekeeping.

Our Vision:

To raise enough funds to be able to buy a piece of land and split it into sections. Sections for the outdoor education centre, the beehives, areas for holding all the necessary equipment for our visitors plus training and discovery areas.

The main activity will be to learn the skill of beekeeping and to contribute towards the repopulation of the British black honey bee. But there will also be opportunities for visitors to learn how to manage wildflower meadows, veg patches and animal husbandry. They can visit us to escape the daily routine of life, to connect with nature and enjoy the peace and tranquillity that beekeeping brings, in a safe environment. They will discover the best methods for managing the bee’s safety and continuation of life and to learn something generations have been practising for over 9000 years.

We will create other sections for our visitors to enjoy, our biggest being wildflower meadows to attract all other animal species and pollinators to the land. But we hope to create areas where our visitors can plant and manage their own little allotment/veg patch. This will be completely free to visitors, however, visitors can make donations towards the cause if they so wish.

We also hope to create an area of affordable glamping for paying visitors to be able to come along and camp with their family in a natural and wild setting as possible. The money earned from this site will be used to maintain the site and pay towards the running costs of all areas.

Our Fundraising:

We are sponsored by a UK window cleaning company who are pledging 50% of their profits towards our cause.

We are hoping to crowdfund to generate some fund for us to begin our journey

Thank you for taking the time to read our fundraiser, your support is crucial to our efforts to make our

vision a reality.

If you’re able, we’d love it if you could donate towards our cause; any amount you can spare would be genuinely appreciated and will bring us closer to making a real difference in people’s lives by creating Space4bees CIC and making our dreams come true.

Our Vision for space4bees will be very much like quince bee farm with a few differences we have sourced some images for you to be able to visualise our vision and also an artists impression on our education centre.

we would like to stress as our fundraiser gains traction we will be able to have plans fully drawn up this will allow us to show our vision to you further.

This first image is an image of Quince bee farm our layout will be similar with distinct differences.

This second image is of the plans of quince farm

This third and final image is of an artists impression of our vision throughout our fundraiser we will update as we have further plans drawn up in a similar style to quince bee farm.
