My companion of 11 years and beloved cat, Clementine, recently had subcutaneous ureteral bypass (SUB) surgery for kidney failure due to bilateral ureteral obstruction. Luckily the operation was successful and her kidneys are returning to normal.
However, within a few days after coming home, her condition worsened. Her body is too weak to produce red blood cells so she has become anaemic. Now she’s back in the hospital to get a blood transfusion.
The initial vet fees cost me over £8,500 and my pet insurance will probably cover only about a half of this at best. I managed to cover the costs with my savings and my family’s help.
Now I am trying to raise funds to cover the vet fees for the transfusion and/or for future vet fees (at the time of writing we still don’t know if the transfusion will work, and, if it does and she gets better, the SUB device requires flushing every 3-4 months at the hospital). At the very least this financial support would help with future transportation costs (I don’t have a car so each hospital visit costs me about £80 for Uber).
Clementine is the most affectionate, gentle and beautiful cat, and she’s the love of my life. So I am trying to give her all the treatment she needs for the best opportunity to get better.
Any and all help for my best friend, Clementine, is greatly appreciated. As a gesture of thanks, for each donation you will receive a little something from @momokodoodles.
Many thanks,
Momoko
