We are raising funds to help towards the cost of pom poms and competition fees so our cheerleading squad can compete at BCA Uni Nationals
We are a cheerleading squad at the University of Liverpool and we are hoping to raise money towards the cost of pom poms for our pom dance team. We have 3 dance teams and 3 cheerleading teams which all form part of our Liverpool Foxes cheerleading squad. This is the first year that Liverpool Foxes will be entering to compete in the Large Pom dance division, however in order to compete we need pom poms!! With the money we raise we will be able to buy poms for the club which we will use to compete this year and will be passed down to next years pom squad and re-used in future competitions.
Any additional funds we manage to raise will be used to pay towards competition entry which costs around £3000 for our entire squad to compete at JUST ONE competition. This is not including the cost of our uniforms or travel, which are not subsidised by the University, nor do we receive any funding whatsoever for these costs. Each member of our squad has to pay for competition entry, uniform, travel and equipment themselves which makes the sport inaccessible for those who cannot afford to pay these costs. Cheer and Dance coaches are all unpaid and coach voluntarily because they love the sport.
