Aim

Help elect Sylvain Magne and build a stronger Green voice for Trinity. Every donation helps us reach more local residents.

On one of the hottest Saturdays of the summer, volunteers from across Wandsworth and beyond came together in Trinity to knock on doors, listen to residents and support Green candidate Sylvain Magne.

That spirit of community is what this campaign is all about.

Sylvain never expected to stand for election.

An architect by training and an animator by profession, he thought he would spend his life drawing "until my arms dropped off."

But over several years, watching events unfold both here and abroad, he became increasingly concerned about the direction of politics and the growing gap between the challenges we face and the action being taken.

When he discovered the Green Party, he wasn't looking for a political career. He simply found a party whose values matched his own. He joined as a member. Soon afterwards he volunteered to help.

Now he's standing to represent Trinity.

Why Sylvain? 1785156983_image_25-07-2026_at_16-52.jpg

Sylvain has spent more than twenty years working with creative teams on projects for organisations including the BBC and Netflix, creating artwork for Marvel and directing Katy Perry's music video Cry About It Later.

But ask him what matters most and he'll tell you something much simpler.

He wants to be remembered for integrity.

He knows politics requires compromise, but believes compromise should never mean losing sight of the direction we're travelling in: towards a fairer society, stronger communities and a healthier environment.

One lesson he shares came from watching his wife move through her life:

"Things are often more negotiable than you think. Don't give up. People can be persuaded."

That's exactly the persistence he'll bring as your local councillor.

Why Trinity?

Trinity isn't just where Sylvain lives. It's where he and his wife have chosen to put down roots.

A perfect Sunday might begin with a walk across Wandsworth Common, followed by a coffee or a drink on Bellevue Road before heading home to spend time with friends in their tiny but much-loved garden.

As someone who has lived in the neighbourhood for 12 years and plans to stay here for many years to come, Sylvain wants to help ensure Trinity remains a place where people can enjoy green spaces, strong communities and a high quality of life.

Thank you

Sylvain has said he isn't trying to become a politician.

He's simply stepping up to do his bit.

If you believe Trinity deserves a councillor who listens, works hard and acts with integrity, we'd be grateful for your support.

Together, we can build a stronger Green voice for Trinity.

A final fun fact: Sylvain's name means "of the forest" or "from the woods." It seems fitting that someone whose name has always been associated with the natural world has found a political home in the Green Party. 💚

*Please note that we will carry out permissibility checks for any donations over £500. In addition, any single donation (or aggregate donations from the same source in the same calendar year) over the reporting threshold of £11,180 will be published on the Electoral Commission website, including the donor’s identity. Any funds not spent on the campaign will go into the general Wandsworth Green Party budget.

Promoted by James Couper on behalf of Sylvain Magne and Wandsworth Green Party, at 24 Sudlow Road SW18 1HP.
