Help Bring Simon/Lenin Home

Aim

Please help us bring Simon/Lenin home from Portugal. We need all the help we can get.

Hi everyone,

As some of you may have heard, our dear Lenin/ Simon had a stroke on Sunday, 1st March while in Faro, Portugal with close friends. He passed away tonight, 5 March 2026 and we urgently need your help in getting him home.

Unfortunately and rather classically, Lenin/Simon didn't have travel insurance and the process to get him home to London is costly.

We know times are financially tough at the moment but we kindly ask his family, friends, acquaintances, anyone to please reach into your pockets and help out in any way you can- anything will help.

We need to raise approximately £5295 for repatriation alone. In addition, we will need support with funeral costs and keeping him in a funeral home until Izzy and Mary can return from Thailand (they've been stuck in Thailand with the conflict in the Middle-East). As such, we've set the goal to raise £16,000. Any donations past this point will further assist the greatest send off of all time, help our family during this tough time, and if there's enough to spare, a meaningul donation to Palestine based charities will be made.

He has family and friends around him and is in the best hands he could be.
