Aim

Help Bow receive the urgent surgery, veterinary care and rehabilitation she needs as she begins her journey towards a loving forever home.

Tomorrow, Bow is due to undergo urgent surgery to relieve the pain she's been living with.

We're asking for your support today to help Mayhew cover the cost of her surgery, specialist treatment and recovery.

Just a few days ago, Bow arrived at Mayhew after being found alone as a stray. She was blind, underweight and living in pain.

Although we may never know everything she's been through, we believe Bow may have been used for breeding before she came into our care.

Despite everything she'd endured, Bow has remained incredibly gentle and trusting, greeting our team with a wagging tail and happily accepting the care she so desperately needs.

When Mayhew's veterinary team examined Bow, it soon became clear she'd been living with severe eye disease for some time. Sadly, her right eye is beyond saving and needs to be removed to relieve her pain. But there is hope. Our vets are treating Bow's left eye with intensive medication in the hope of reducing the inflammation and restoring some vision.

Now Bow needs your help.

Your donation will help provide:

🐾 Urgent surgery to remove Bow's damaged right eye

💜 Specialist veterinary care throughout her recovery

💊 Intensive medication and ongoing treatment for her left eye

🏥 Ongoing care, monitoring and rehabilitation as she heals

🦷 The additional veterinary treatment she'll need before she's ready for a new home, including being spayed and treatment for a fractured tooth

🏡 Everything Bow needs while she waits to find the loving forever home she deserves

Over the coming days, our veterinary team will monitor Bow's progress closely and do everything they can to give her the very best chance of recovering.

We receive no government funding and rely entirely on donations. We expect Bow's surgery, specialist treatment, medication, rehabilitation, kennel stay and further veterinary care before rehoming to cost up to £7,000.

Your support today will help Mayhew provide every stage of Bow's care, from urgent surgery and recovery to the final veterinary treatment that prepares her for a loving forever home.

We'll keep you updated throughout Bow's surgery, recovery and rehabilitation, so you can follow her journey and see what your donation has made possible every step of the way, from her first operation to, we hope, the day she finds the loving forever home she deserves.

Please donate today and help give Bow the second chance she deserves.
