Book-ish is expanding! We're opening a 2nd shop in nearby Abergavenny & need your help to ensure it's gets off to the best possible start!

Book-ish opened its door on the High street in Crickhowell in 2010, moving location in 2017 to number 18, High Street and winning the award for 'Best Bookshop in the UK' at the British book awards in 2020.

Since then it's been a roller coaster ride and we couldn't have gotten through the pandemic years AND almost losing everything in 2021 when we needed to raise funds to buy the building in Crickhowell without the support of our customers, friends, and family and followers.

Crickhowell building secure, we're turning to our loyal band of supporters once again to help ensure our new Abergavenny shop gets off to the best possible start in 2023. We'll be picking up the keys to 55a, Frogmore Street and although it's a small unit, it shall be MIGHTY.

Plans are in the pipeline for more events, more bookclubs, more community connections, more school events and children's activities alongside supporting fellow independent traders, charities and venues.

We have the basic infrastructure in place, the will and of course our fabulous team... but there are so many elements required in building a bookshop (lots and lots of shelves for example!) so let's build this one together...join us for the ride?
