Aim

Help take Green Gathering’s Speakers’ Forum beyond the festival with talks, podcasts and social clips released all year

At Green Gathering 2026, leading campaigners, thinkers, artists, journalists and changemakers will discuss some of the most important issues of our time.

We want to film the Speakers’ Forum and turn the talks into a year-long video, podcast and social-media series, making these voices available far beyond the festival.

The project will be delivered by the Speakers’ Forum team, working with experienced professional filmmakers and audio producers.

What your support will produce

The talks will be recorded at Green Gathering 2026 and developed into:

  • full-length multi-camera talks for YouTube
  • edited podcast episodes
  • short highlights for social media
  • regular releases throughout the following year

The recordings will create a lasting, freely accessible public resource. Each speaker will also receive content they can share through their own networks, helping these conversations travel beyond the festival field, reach new audiences beyond the festival and existing networks, and increase the visibility of Green Gathering and the organisations supporting the series.

Selected confirmed speakers include

  • Zack Polanski — Leader of the Green Party of England and Wales
  • Clive Lewis MP — Labour MP & campaigner on climate, democracy and social justice
  • Madame Gandhi — artist, producer and activist
  • Mothin Ali — Green Party co-deputy leader and creator of My Family Garden
  • Paul Powlesland — barrister and co-founder of Lawyers for Nature
  • Rupert Read — environmental philosopher and founder of the Climate Majority Project
  • Roger Hallam — co-founder of Extinction Rebellion and Just Stop Oil
  • Professor Richard Betts MBE — leading climate scientist at the Met Office Hadley Centre and University of Exeter
  • Josiah Mortimer — Chief Reporter at Byline Times

These are just some of the confirmed speakers. The full Speakers’ Forum programme includes many more voices from politics, journalism, science, activism, culture, community organising and environmental campaigning.

Together, they bring perspectives from politics, journalism, science, activism, culture and environmental campaigning, exploring climate breakdown, nature, peace, justice, community resilience and practical routes to change.

Our £5,000 Crowdfunder target

The Speakers’ Forum will cost £7,500 in total to record, produce and share. With £2,500 already committed, we are seeking £5,000 through this Crowdfunder to complete the project.

The funds raised will cover the core costs including:

  • filming and professional audio
  • video and podcast editing
  • social-media highlights
  • other essential production costs

The Green Gathering takes place from 30 July to 2 August 2026, so because filming equipment, crew and post-production capacity must be booked in advance, we need to confirm the funding and production plan by 23 July.

If we exceed the target, additional funds will allow us to promote the series more widely.

Please donate today and share the campaign with anyone who believes these conversations deserve a wider audience.

Sponsorship & partner opportunities

A principal sponsor could be acknowledged throughout the series as the content is shared by Green Gathering, the Speakers’ Forum and participating speakers over the following year.

Please get in touch before making a substantial donation to discuss becoming a named sponsor or supporting partner.
