I’m starting this fundraiser to help my friend Ahmed Alkurd escape the genocide in Gaza.
Over the past 10 months, Ahmed, his wife Alaa, and their 4 month old baby have been displaced over 6 times and forced to live in a tent. They have very limited access to food, clean water, and medical care whilst also fearing for their lives and witnessing the killings of people around them.
Ahmed’s parents and siblings are trapped in the north of Gaza where famine is rampant. He hasn’t seen them since November 2023.
The money raised here will go towards their evacuation fees to cross the border into Egypt, which is currently £5000 per adult and £2500 per child. It will also help them to start a new life when they finally do escape.
Ahmed has a gofundme already, but due to unforeseen complications, we have decided to start this as a back up fundraiser.
Every little counts as danger is closer and closer to them everyday.
