Having successfully bootstrapped the business to this point, we're looking to take this little business to dreamy new heights. With your help, this will be the beginning of Ilk + Ernie 2.0. A made in the Europe ethical brand, with style and sustainability at its core.
For those that are new to Ilk + Ernie here's a little about us:
In 2019, frustrated by the lack of style and colour in eco-friendly fashion. My journey began with a commitment to crafting garments that not only prioritise style and trends, but sustainability.
All our garments are made with high quality surplus fabric. For those of you that don't know what that is, it's essentially fabric waste from other fashion brands supply chains. Using these fabrics means we don't ever produce our own fabrics. Instead, we use up fabric that would otherwise be incinerated or sent to landfill. Even our cut offs are used to create our accessories - eliminating any waste in our production line. This zero waste approach to fashion means you don't have to choose between style and the impact your wardrobe has on our planet.
Working with surplus fabrics has granted us a treasure trove of options, allowing us to unleash our creativity and bring dynamic designs to life.
What ensued was the birth of a vibrant community drawn to our aesthetic, characterised by bold prints, lively colours, and ethical production practices—all offered at accessible prices. Our incredible customers embody generosity, kindness, and unwavering loyalty, and I'm immensely grateful for their support as we continue to redefine sustainable fashion with a splash of colour.
WHAT THIS FUNDRAISER WILL DO.
This Crowdfunder is to help us raise money to release a capsule collection that for the very first time, will be made in Europe. Manufacturing closer to home has always been our end goal and will enable us to focus on designing and developing our new range. Source the best quality surplus fabric in Europe and start growing our team.

ANASTASIA DRESS
Anastasia is a Greek name meaning resurrection which felt fitting for this fundraiser! Made from the most incredible, stiff and luxurious Portuguese seersucker cotton, this dress has volume in abundance. With rouged elasticated chest panelling, puffed sleeves and a boxy shift shape, it's the summer dress I've been dreaming of making for years.
