My name is Zak and I am raising funds to help my dear friend, Abdullah. He's currently displaced, alone, in Rafah.
Before the current genocide being commited against Palestine, Abdullah lived a happy life working as a farmer. Abdullah has been displaced multiple times and is now by himself as he no longer has his parents or close family with him. His loving mother, as you can see in the photo, passed away last year. Abdullah was shot recently and has not been able to care for his wound properly.
I have been donating and fundraising to help him get daily essentials, food and water, as well as to get his name on the list for evacuation. As we are aware, these cost $7k per adult, and with single men, they are subjected to around a 3 week wait before getting permission to leave.
He was around £1500 away from his target when GoFundMe paused his campaign, part of their ongoing suppression of Palestinian campaigns. He luckily has most of the money that was saved, but is still around £1500 (roughly given the volatile nature of the prices, and currencies) so I have set the goal to £2000 for evacuation (and living expenses in the meantime).
He has a friend in Egypt who is ready to help him upon arrival.
Please dig deep, and if you aren't able to donate, please share. Whilst talking to him I've had to witness nearby bombings, desperation enough to offer a kidney for sale and more. Please help us get him out and treated and safe.
