Help a disabled student cover healthcare costs

Aim

I would be very grateful for any help with funding towards healthcare costs.

I have the genetic condition Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), this has caused many problems including: joint instability and dislocations, organ failure, neck instability and neurological degeneration.

I am managing most of the effects of EDS, however, my neck has significantly impacted my quality of life and caused nerve damage throughout my body.

It has taken me years of asking for help, for a specialist to see me and come up with a treatment plan. Lots of previous experiences were traumatic and offered no help.

in the UK there are very few specialists who manage or treat this condition. In my decade of experience, I have found that this is only available within private healthcare.

After seeing the specialist, we have finally come up with a treatment plan. I am happy and relieved at the thought of how much this could improve my quality of life. This treatment is expensive however and I am a student who relies on PhD funding and disability benefits to live. Because of this I am desperately asking if you would be willing to offer financial support?
