My goal is to have my own therapy room where I can do Sports Massage. I plan to take further courses such as acupuncture, taping etc.
My name is Dori. I currently work full-time at a pawnbroking business. I've always worked hard but I desired a career change. I had an idea of what I could do to earn more money and help people at the same time. This is why, while working full-time, I have completed a diploma in Sports Massage Therapy which made me start dreaming of the ways I could be a sole trader and, one day, run my own business.
I am 29 years old and originally from Hungary. I developed an interest in massage through my increased passion for anatomy and physiology and how massage therapy complements exercise, training and injury prevention. I have a strong sporting background as throughout school I was surrounded by professional athletes and I still enjoy and follow sports of all kinds.

My goal is to have my own therapy room where I can do Sports Massage. I plan to take further courses such as acupuncture, taping and strapping etc. I would like to build up my client base at the same time as increasing my knowledge.
I came up with the idea in Summer 2019. Since then have completed a diploma in Sports Massage and have started to buy supplies and set up social media channels. I have also employed a website designer to help me to create my own website. All of these cost me a lot of money, which I am ok with it because sometimes you need to spend money before you can earn money. The next step is on my journey is to rent my own place where I can run my Sports Massage business from.
I currently work full-time, and it is a long process to create a suitably strong client base. To be able to do this I need my own therapy room together with enough customers to keep up with the expensive rent prices. As with every business, it will take time to make a profit, hence the need for crowdfunding. My friend sent me a link to the Back Her Business organisation with a competition: through Back Her Business is Bring it 2020.You can read more about the competition on this link: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/uploads/bring_it_crowdfunding_guide_.pdf
My £1,000 target would cover my deposit, first month’s rent. Any further pledges to my project would go towards to a licence with the council (which is approximately £170) and give me an opportunity continue with courses such as taping and acupuncture, and it would offer me better financial security until I have enough clients. Fingers crossed I can win one of the 'Bring it 2020' top prizes!
Any pledges towards my project are greatly appreciated!Thank you:)
I would like to be successful and expand in the industry. I want to show everyone that — with a bit of courage and determination — everything is possible and that we must let our imaginations open new doors and possibilities.
