G20 Works is a work and wellbeing project for 16-25 year olds. We're based in the Wyndford community in Maryhill.
We are a youth project for 16-25 year olds in the Wyndford Maryhill. We work with young people to create work and wellbeing opportunities to support a positive future.
We create employment opportunities for young people through our food van: the Scran Van, community garden, the G20 beauty project and G20 Pizza initiative.
Alongside this, we run a person centred personal development programme to break down barriers the young people face.

Our unit in Wyndford is in the heart of the community and we work to build relationships between young people and the wider community.
Doing this we hope will create a safer community and more positive pathways for young people facing barriers.

Many of people we work with are impacted by the Costs of living Crisis.
We work with families who have turned off the heating over winter (or indefinitely) because they simply cannot afford to heat their homes. The same families are also impacted by poverty, food insecurity and many also have to cope with at least one person in the household with a serious health issue e.g. COPD, depression, cancer. Many have babies or young children to care for. The thought of them not being able to access a warm space and hot food over the winter is heartbreaking.
We want to ensure that the G20 Works unit is a warm, safe space providing hot food to those who need it over the winter months.

We'll spend the money on heating the unit so that the young people and their families can access activities and services in a warm space. We'll also ensure that there is hot food for people to access.
This funding will provide the much needed support and security to people and families who desperately need it
