Aim

I’m Heather, your Scottish Labour candidate for Angus South. I want to deliver a new direction for Angus. Please support my campaign today!

I’m Heather Doran, Scottish Labour’s candidate for Angus South at the 2026 Scottish Parliament elections.

In 2022, I became the first Labour councillor in Angus for a decade, and since then I’ve worked hard to show that Labour can win and deliver locally. Now, I want to take that same determination to Holyrood.

I’m not a career politician. I decided to stand for election because I was frustrated at seeing children left behind during COVID. That experience inspired me to step up and fight for fairness and opportunity for every family in Angus South. Before entering politics, I built a career as a scientist, I hold a PhD in Molecular Pharmacology and spent over a decade working in public engagement and science communication. These skills taught me how to tackle complex issues, listen, and bring people together - qualities I now use every day as a councillor.

I live in Angus and I’m raising my family here. I know the challenges we face, from the housing crisis and NHS waiting times to stretched public services. People in Angus deserve a Scottish Government that delivers, not one that blames others. Angus South needs better homes, better services, and a fairer future. Only a Scottish Labour government can deliver this.

Your support will help fund a strong campaign to reach voters across Angus South. covering costs like leaflets, events, and digital outreach. Every contribution, big or small, makes a real difference in helping me to reach as many voters as possible.

With your help Scottish Labour can deliver a new direction for Angus South. Thank you for your support.
