Aim

Raise funds to replace lost income due to the affects of COVID-19, allowing us to maintain our activities as a fully amateur rugby club.

Heath currently run two open age sides on a regular basis, with a third "Social" team playing from time to time. Heath has supported the development of amateur players with an exceptional team of coaches and training and playing facilities. This has seen the First Team go on to achieve recent promotion to the North East 1 league, the highest the club has ever been represented. Support is given to all levels of players with the Second Team also winning their respective league.

The club also runs a thriving Junior section with five teams at present. Our Under 7 and 8 squads play tag rugby, with our Under 12,15 and 18 sides playing fixtures on a regular basis. Every effort is made to ensure all players are coached the basics of rugby and make progress needed to eventually feed into the senior teams. At present, the Senior teams have in their squad several players who won the North of England championship as Colts and were runners up in the National Cup.

The club and grounds are also home to a local Running Club, allowing them to host regular running events.

There are two good pitches at the North Dean ground and a superb clubhouse and changing facilities. The grounds are maintained through a team of volunteers consisting of former players and valued supporters of Heath.

Development of the teams and investment into the facilities is usually funded through match day income, clubhouse hire, sponsorship and local support. Covid-19 has directly impacted this generation of funds, with the team being unable to play and the clubhouse no longer being available for hire. This added to challenges the club were already experiencing after severe flooding for the third time in 5 years.

The club is seeking crowdfunding to ease the loss of funds and continue us to support player development and provide facilities to the local community.
