The charity uses the facilities of Coleman's Farm Community Centre to enable them to provide a hot meal to those in need and a safe-place that acts as a well-being centre for those with mental health issues, ranging from bipolar and/or anxiety issues and to those experiencing loneliness. Heart of the Community is a non-judgemental, one-stop location to meet a variety of needs.

Who are we?
Heart of the Community is a Charity based in Calne that was founded in 2021. It aims to foster community engagement and connection through a wide range of programs and services.
Who do we help?
We provide a welcoming space for people of all backgrounds and ages with many of our guests are struggling to cope with normal life stresses such as loneliness, depression, anxiety and poverty to name just a few issues.
We Work closely with Calne Community Connectors (or Social Prescribers) to assist in enabling people to re-connect with the community and form friendships.
For many of our guests, Heart of the Community is the only place they visit, the only opportunity of being part of a relational community.
How do we achieve our aims and objectives?
Heart of the Community provides a daily freshly cooked meal and a range of activities to promote mental wellbeing.
All of this is done on a what you can afford basis.
How Can you help?
All of our activities and support services come at a cost, and we receive very little local authority funding. In order to survive we need financial assistance, please help us to help others. Any donation, regardless of its size helps.
