Health Workers 4 Palestine (HW4P) is honoured to share our ongoing journey with the HW4P community, as we work to amplify the voices of Palestinian health workers, fight for the right of Palestinians to have access to quality healthcare and working to preserve the sovereignty of Palestinian healthcare, as an essential component for the liberation of Palestine.
HW4P, has been working relentlessly since the 7th of October, to stand in solidarity with Palestinian health workers and the Palestinian people’s right to healthcare. In just a couple of months, we expanded our work, across 70 cities globally. Building momentum with our work and creating true impact across awareness raising, education, advocacy and fundraising.
We have worked hard to raise awareness of the ongoing genocide and increasing violence across the West Bank, and consistently amplify the voices of Palestinian health workers, especially our colleagues/peers in Gaza. We have done this by organising effective community mobilisation, working with collaboratively on lobbying, advocacy and awareness raising campaigns.
All of our work and impact to date has been the result of volunteers, working tirelessly to support the organisation’s growth and impact. Since becoming a registered entity this year, we have continued to deepen our work on both an organisational, advocacy and impact project level.
However, as we move forwards, continuing to build our organisation and give back to our local health worker community, we require financial support to bolster our operations work, so that HW4P may reach its full potential and achieve our long term vision of liberating Palestine.
The executive team, alongside key strategic advisers such as Dr Ghassan Abu Sitta, Prof. Nick Maynard, Amnesty International UK, Medical Aid for Palestinians and others, have developed our new focused strategy, which will focus on our advocacy and lobbying campaigns, in addition to community focused events and impact projects in Gaza and Cairo.
