We aim to secure funding for legal representation to end injustice, as presently scales of justice look very uneven. Review the NMC process.
What we're building truly matters; https://www.youtube.com/live/aU4Cvws8ARk?si=4bcgwbgvBW58ISUV A Campaign for fairness and justice An important victory but flawed decision must be investigated Vindication After almost two years of struggle, our client is back on the NMC register. On hearing the decision of the panel, our client exclaimed: “The Lord has done it, our prayers have been answered. A remarkable achievement”.
Our client is one of 48 registrants wrongly accused of obtaining their registrations through fraudulent means. Our client said “it was sad and terrible that I found myself in this situation, as nobody wants to employ someone who was dismissed from a trust”. Securing legal representation is expensive, and it is at times like this that the underfunding our community organisations face is obvious.
Fighting economic oppression and exclusion continues to be an uphill struggle. Seeking redress for the unjust removal from the register has been an epic battle. The unfair referral to Investigating Committee panels after a flawed NMC Character Assessment of registrants was difficult to challenge. As a representative, Save The Woman is very concerned about the structural and systemic inequality in the process. Our client was subjected to culturally inappropriate dealings. This is not surprising. Afzal and Rise Associate’s culture review highlighted “ a ‘toxic culture’ at the NMC, with one former employee describing their section of the organisation as a ‘hotbed of bullying, racism and toxic behaviour’ ”.
This project raises funds for a legal dispute. Neither Crowdfunder nor the project owner can guarantee its outcome, that it will be resolved, or that the amount raised will be enough to see it through. Even a favourable result may be appealed or overturned.
