Headingley United FC vs. the Yorkshire Three Peaks
Leeds, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom
Aim
We're raising money for our newly-founded football club by hiking the Yorkshire Three Peaks!
Based in Headingley, north Leeds, Headingley United FC aims is to make football as accessible and enjoyable as possible for beginners and experienced players alike. We are a football club for players of marginalised genders, run by people of marginalised genders.
We have one competitive 11-a-side team and two development teams who play 9-a-side matches, so whether someone has played all their life or never kicked a ball before, anyone is welcome to join the club. We foster an inclusive, encouraging atmosphere that focuses on creating a safe space for people who might not always have felt competitive sport is for them, whatever the skill level they’re playing at.
We're raising money to help cover our running costs for our first season - as a brand new club there are a lot of behind-the-scenes costs to pay to get us started, so any donations you can send our way would be greatly appreciated!
