We want to raise £2250 to create our show, Head Girl, to pay ourselves appropriately, raise money for special charities & promote self-love!
Head Girl
A play about falling in and out of love with yourself. A coming of age story, that navigates the 21st-century girl boss mentality, whilst still practising self-care seven days a week.
This show is our collective love child. It combines all of our values - self-awareness, amplifying women's and non-binary voices and creating entertaining theatre for all.
We have created it in collaboration with local youth theatre groups (special thanks to CAST. Northumberland) and are looking to work with Girl Guides and Boy Brigade groups to ensure that young people's voices are amplified in our work.
We don't want to give too much away yet, but there promises to be fantastic music, crazy nostalgia and a platonic love story that you can get behind.
Performances:
Friday 8th April, 8 pm at The Central Bar, Gateshead.
Saturday 9th April, 4 pm (relaxed performance), 8 pm, at The Central Bar, Gateshead.

Why are we fundraising?
The arts industry is an almighty beast, and with our passion and enthusiasm to tell this story, we wanted to be involved in putting it on its feet as much as possible (and whilst working around our muggle jobs)!
We want to ensure that everyone on our creative team is paid correctly (according to the Equity Fringe agreement), to ensure we have enough money to sustainably source props and costumes and to be able to market our show properly.
This crowdfunding is the first of three initiatives. Next, on Thursday, February 17th, our director, Rosie, will be doing a 12-hour danceathon to raise money for our project, as well as the Sick Children's Trust - there will be a link to watch and donate to this event soon! After this, there will be a fundraising day at Journey Café Bar in Newcastle on Sunday, March 6th, which will include a raffle, second-hand clothes sale and much more!
We'd love it if you would follow us on our journey and support us in any way you can. Please check out our rewards when you are donating too!
So who are we?
Caitlin Fairlamb
Caitlin has been involved with theatre since a young teen, having taken part in Live Theatre’s Youth Theatre, Newcastle Theatre Royal's Youth Theatre and the National Youth Film Academy. Caitlin decided to further her career at Northumbria University studying Drama: Acting and Performance and Project A actor training at Theatre Royal Newcastle.
Since graduating in 2021, Caitlin’s credits include Raising Shame schools tour with BRASH Theatre Company and The Greediest Elf schools tour with Bigfoot Arts Education. Other jobs include: facilitating, ushering at Live Theatre and Northern Stage and cleaning a dental practice!
Rowan Miller

Rowan is a Scottish actor but currently lives in Newcastle. She graduated from New College Lanarkshire in 2018 with her HND in Acting and Performance. She then went on to tour with Theatre Company ‘Lingue Senza Frontiere’ around the north of Italy. Rowan has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2 years in a row with various shows such as a comedy sketch show and feminist drama. In 2020 Rowan moved to Newcastle to train with ‘Project A’ and is now a member of Girl Next Door theatre company!
During the week Rowan can be found at Laneway & Co. pouring gorgeous creamy flat whites for the coffee lovers of Newcastle.
Rosie Bowden
Rosie's love of theatre has been a life-long affair, having spent lots of time doing amateur shows and singing show-tunes with her Dad. It all came to fruition in Sixth Form when she set up her school's drama society, which was then shut down by COVID. She spent a year doing actor training at Newcastle Theatre Royal's Project A (where she met Rowan and Caitlin!) and has since directed a professional response piece at Alphabetti Theatre, as well as creating props, dressing dames and sorting microphones at the Customs House and Tyne Theatre and Opera House!
Rosie's other jobs include teaching in Newcastle and Northumberland, and serving coffees/ushering shows at Northern Stage!
This project successfully funded on 21st March 2022
