Help us transform our 1970s Clubhouse into a modern, energy-efficient hub for Helensburgh’s sporting and wider Community use.

Who We Are

Helensburgh Cricket and Rugby Club has been at the heart of our community for over 100 years. We’re more than just a sports Club, we’re a place where kids take their first steps in sport, where friendships are made, where families come together, and where lifelong memories are created. We host local schools, community and armed forces events, the Highland Games with inclusive social and charity events, Every week, hundreds of people walk through our doors to connect, play, support and grow.

Our Ambition

Our clubhouse was built in the 1970s. It’s tired, inefficient and struggling to meet the needs of a modern, thriving club. Our energy bills are rising, and the facilities are no longer fit for purpose.

We want to transform the clubhouse into a warm, energy-efficient and welcoming space, a hub for sport, for the community, and for generations to come.

Scottish Gas Energy for Tomorrow

Thanks to Scottish Gas’s Energy for Tomorrow programme, we’ve been awarded a £34,000 reward match funding grant, one of only six projects selected across the UK, and the only one in Scotland. For every pound raised from donations or Rewards, Energy for Tomorrow will make it £3.

This is our moment, and we need your help to make it happen.

What We’re Raising Money For

With your support, we will:

• Install proper loft insulation to save energy
• Upgrade to energy-efficient heating and lighting, including completing installation of LED pitch floodlights
• Make the space warmer, greener and more welcoming for all, with solar panels to reduce energy bills and improve environmental sustainability
• Make the building more accessible and comfortable year-round, allowing us to open our doors more to the Community
