The Herne Bay Cartoon Festival needs your help to keep going. We love what we do but in these difficult times raising funding for any arts project is a challenge. We are offering some great rewards to anyone who can help us put on this year's 11th festival. But every donation, however small, will mean a lot to us.
Our festival was born out of the Duchamp in Herne Bay festival in 2013. Every year since (apart from during the pandemic) we have welcomed back members of the Professional Cartoonists Organisation to show off their skills and have fun at the seaside.
This year also marks the 50th anniversary of the British Cartoon Archive, which is kept just up the road from Herne Bay at the University of Kent. So we are also celebrating this important archive with an exhibition at the Seaside Museum.
We all volunteer our time to making this a great festival but there are some things we do have to pay for. We are hugely grateful for support from Herne Bay Festival, the PCO and KCC but sadly it is not enough.
Please give your support in whatever way you can. With grateful thanks
Herne Bay Cartoon Festival Team
