We're still collecting donations
On the 23rd July 2021 we'd raised £10,679 with 62 supporters in 71 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

Our aim is to raise money for a perimeter/safety fencing to compliment our new pitches when their £140k renovation project is completed.

On the 23rd July 2021 we'd raised £10,679 with 62 supporters in 71 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Our pitches are a bit of a mess, especially through the winter. They are a community resource used by the football club but also, like a common, used by residents for dog walking, kite flying, rugby, cricket you name it!
The constitution of Hayfield Football & Community Sports Club requires that the pitches to be used by everyone in Hayfield and we continue to encourage other sporting groups to join us to make full use of our facility. We especially want to provide facilities for the local primary school where space is limited.
The good news is that we have already secured £140,000 to renovate the field at Bank Vale Road. The existing drainage system was installed during the second world war and has long since collapsed and as many of our footballers and other users know, constantly lets us down through the winter months.
Work on the pitches is currently in the planning phase and we hope will be complete by the end of this year (2021).
To compliment this work we now want to raise funds from the wider community for a perimeter fence around the playing area to ensure spectators are kept at a safe and respectful distance from the players on the pitches. It should also help minimise dog fouling - an ever present scourge of grassroots sport.
We have generated £10,000 of funding towards the total project cost of £30,000 (yes it does seem a lot and yes it does include VAT). We're hoping to get some match funding from Sport England so it's a very achievable target. Please dig deep and donate, tell your friends, work colleagues, everyone you know.
You'll see on the right ways in which you can help the club. You can simply make a donation, for which we will be very grateful, or for £20 you can appear on the Friends of Hayfield FC sign which will be placed on our new fencing.
For Manchester City fans, the club have kindly donated a signed shirt from the entire Premier League 2021 winning squad (NOW SOLD).
For local businesses, many of whom have sponsored teams and events over the years, we are now able to offer signage at the renovated Bank Vale. For £500 we will create an 8ft x 4ft sign for you. We can help with your artwork and once done your sign will be on display to everyone who visits Bank Vale for two years.
If you're a cricket fan, and if you live anywhere near Hayfield then you probably are, then why not join us for an afternoon with England cricket legend, Phil Tufnell. Phil will be joined and interviewed by Ian Stafford from The Sporting Club.
Individual tickets are £90. If you want a table of 8, the cost is £700 but numbers are limited so don't delay.
