Haxby Foodshare 2026
York, United Kingdom
Aim
Haxby Foodshare helps around 50 individuals and families with top-ups to essential supplies. Misfortune can find anyone. We need your help.
Haxby Foodshare was formed in response to COVID-19 by the City of York Council. However it has moved on since then and we now operate as an independant non profit group with a Charity registration submitted. We serve the local area covering Haxby & Wigginton , Strensall , Earswick Village , New Easwick. While these areas are generally fortunate , there is is always a level of misfortune such as loss of health, loss of income , family breakdown, etc on top of a number of people with limited income that is often swallowed by high living costs such as rent and utilities that means there are people that struggle to adaquately access sufficient food and essential supplies. The individuals need of us might be temporary or more permenant , but its real.
We offer a self referral service twice a week at Haxby & Wigginton Scout Hut distributing food to around 50 individals and families.
Please help support our cause , one day you might need our help, and we want to be there when the need hits.
