Dear Supporter,
Havant Green Party had an amazing set of results in the recent Local Elections, with 4 Councillors elected! Support for the Green Party is growing across the local area and we are in the perfect position to push for a Green MP in the General Elections on 4th July.
We are pleased to confirm that Local Councillor for Hayling East, Netty Shepherd, has been selected as our Green GE candidate. This is an amazing opportunity to deliver real hope and change for our area.
Netty was born in Havant and is proud of her local roots. After university she returned to raise her children on Hayling Island and was fortunate enough to get a job at IBM North Harbour. This led to a highly successfully international career in IT. Now a small business owner and elected member of Havant Borough Council, Netty is also head of fundraising at a local infant school.
Netty says “We live in a brilliant part of the UK – but we have more than our fair share of deprivation. Affordable housing is a huge issue for families and young people in our area, our schools are suffering from chronic under-investment, it’s impossible to find an NHS dentist and our beaches are full of sewage. The old two-party system isn’t working for anyone, anymore. I will provide a positive voice for our area, focusing on what I can do to really make a difference to people’s lives.”
How can you help?
Any donation amount would be much appreciated to fund Netty's literature - a vital element of our campaign. Let's get thousands of leaflets delivered across the Havant constituency!
Please donate and spread the word.
Thank you for supporting us
