Raise £10,000 to buy two new etching presses, to give new opportunities for people to join us and get creative through print.

On the 20th May 2024 we'd raised £11,578 with 92 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Support us to employ a Young Technician one day a week.
Our plan
We’re crowdfunding to raise the money to invest in two new etching presses to help us maintain our viability as a community of artists.
We are asking everyone who has ever been to the studio, bought a print, taken a class, enjoyed a PV, to support our work going forwards - and to share our appeal with anyone you think might help!
This is our urgent appeal to you, to be part of this crowdfund and to secure our future at this critical time. All you have to do is click support us - and choose a sum to donate or choose a reward from the right hand side in exchange for your donation. There are photos of the rewards below this text.
With new presses, we will be able to work larger and facilitate different ways of printing. We will have more flexibility, to work in more experimental and sustainable techniques.
We will improve our facilities to make better, more sustainable space, re-configure the space, add new benches and generally have a refresh.
At every stage in our 14-year history, we have risen to the challenge of surviving as a small arts organisation. Costs have increased, with some massive increases recently. We must continue to offer good value for our users- at the same time artists are also struggling and the changes outlined will improve our users’ experience. As a not-for-profit CIC, profits go back into our work supporting artists. There is no spare money.
We launch our new website the same week that we go live with our Crowdfunder- it is an exciting time of improvement and change- and we want to make the most of it with your help.
Why the crowdfunder matters
We believe that making art is essential to wellbeing, and that printmaking is brilliant at providing a framework to explore and experiment as an artist. It offers a way into creativity- we want to support artists, and in particular younger artists, to develop a sustainable art practice and develop their careers.
HAUSPRINT – our community
With a few cups of tea along the way and some life hacks and cake, we feel proud of our printmaking community, and how it supports artists at every stage of their careers.
Fabulous Rewards - Great Prints
We are offering fabulous hand-made prints as rewards. All the prints have been donated - these are our currency as artists, and we want you to have a print in exchange for your support.
The rewards include prints by graduate prizewinner Eleanor May Watson and Rose Electra Harris, Ziqi Xu, Boris Kwok and Mia Thompson - definitely young artists to watch!
In addition, there is the chance to work with studio director Michelle Avison, master printer Rob White and our own printmaker architect Chris Christodoulou (who has drawn up the plans for the press move you can see in our intro video).
For a very small donation :) you could be the proud owner of a set of postcard images by up-and-coming HAUSPRINT Etching Year artists or our new green HAUSPRINT apron- matching with the new colours on our new website.
Donations
Of course, if you can find your way to make donations independent of these reward categories then we will be very glad of any amount that you can give.
There is also an option to set up a regular donation to support our Graduate Prize.
Why?
"When I established the studio in 2010, I wanted to make a shared space where printmaking friends, artists, and new printmakers could come together, make work, and learn from each other. I am indebted to several important London-based printmakers who shared their knowledge with me, who took me under their wing and helped build my confidence when I was a young artist. HAUSPRINT is the place where that mentoring work continues."
We hope you will support that work to continue by donating to our Crowdfunder.

Our target
Stretch target £14,000
Will provide the start we need to try and matchfund our Young Technician post and provide financial support to our Recent Graduate Prizewinners. It will support new outreach work in our local community and work to explore sustainable printmaking practice.
If we raise £10,000
We will be able to bring in both presses and make the studio-saving changes we urgently need. We will be able to make improvements to the studio environment and reduce our carbon footprint with changes to the fabric of the building and better insulation.
We have raised £7000- thank you!
This is the barest minimum we need- we can buy the two etching presses but none of the other changes.
