Hathern Old Cricket Club Pavilion Refurbishment

Aim

With your support, we aim to refurbish our pavilion into a modern and welcoming space that will benefit future generations of cricketers.

Who are we?

Hathern Old Cricket Club is one of the oldest clubs in Leicestershire with records of its existence dating back over 200 years. Today we welcome players of all ages and ability with two Saturday senior sides and a Sunday friendly team. We play in the Leicestershire & Rutland cricket league.

Why are we crowdfunding?

The existing pavilion is over 35 years old and is looking tired. In addition we have had to demolish the previous veranda due to storm damage over the winter.

After recently a creating a women-only/gender-specific changing room we would like to refurbish the rest of the pavilion and rebuild the veranda to make it a more welcoming space for players and the local community.

All money raised will be spent on the costs associated with building the veranda and refurbishing the pavilion, including:

✅ Replacing the recently removed veranda
✅ Create a more welcoming environment with the addition of bifold doors to allow more light to enter and create an extension between indoors and outdoor.
✅ Refurbish the toilet area
✅ Refurbish the inside social area.

Sport England will provide £15,000 of funding if we can raise the other £15,000, so every donation—no matter how small—brings us one step closer to our goal of raising £30,000. These funds will go a long way in helping us refurbish our pavilion and make it a welcoming place for players and the local community to come and watch.
